Hello Mighty Companion,

In this week’s class, Love Holds No Grievances: Every Grievance Is a Mistaken Identity | ACIM Lesson 68, we explored a shift in perception that goes far beyond simply “letting things go.” Lesson 68 is not asking you to suppress anger or overlook what happened. It is asking you to look at what a grievance actually is and what it says about how you see yourself.

A grievance is not about another person. It is a statement about identity. It is the moment you accept the idea that you are someone who can be hurt, wronged, or treated unfairly. That is why grievances feel so real. They are not just reactions. They are the roles you step into and then defend.

If every grievance is a mistaken identity, then the work is not managing reactions, but recognizing the self you become when you are upset. Once that is seen, the focus shifts. You are no longer trying to fix situations. You are looking at the identity that made the grievance seem necessary in the first place.

When a grievance is seen as a mistaken identity, the question becomes much more practical: what am I believing myself to be, and how do I stop reinforcing it? If you are ready to look at the identities you are holding onto and begin releasing them at the root, I offer private Clarity Sessions and ongoing Coaching & Mentoring to support you. With 50 years of studying and living A Course in Miracles, I help students move beyond managing reactions into recognizing and undoing the thought system that creates them, so peace becomes something you experience consistently, not just understand intellectually.

It’s easy to slip into grievances and false identities when you’re surrounded by this world’s way of thinking, which is exactly why the Mighty Companions Miracle Community exists. It’s a space to come together with others who are willing to question what they believe and look at their lives through the lens of A Course in Miracles. This Saturday’s Miracle Community Connection gives you a chance to bring what’s actually going on and see the identity underneath it in real time. For $108 a year, your membership includes these live gatherings, weekly Study Guide Journals, unlisted ACIM playlists, the Language of Love Glossary, and exclusive workshops, all designed to support you in applying the Course where it matters most.

Please come out and join the community.

A Path to Recognition

Sometimes when something in life feels stuck, our instinct is to push harder to fix the situation. We try to change the circumstances, solve the problem, or force a better outcome. But often the real shift begins when we see the situation differently.

That’s where Clarity Sessions and Coaching & Mentoring can help.

A Clarity Session is a focused conversation where we look together at a situation that feels confusing, heavy, or stuck. Often a new insight emerges that helps you see the experience in a completely different way.

Coaching and mentoring offer a deeper ongoing journey for students who want consistent support applying the teachings of A Course in Miracles in their daily lives.

With more than 50 years of studying and living these teachings, I bring that experience to each conversation. If you feel ready for support—whether through a single clarity conversation or ongoing coaching and mentoring—I would be honored to walk with you for a while on your journey.

Here are ways we can keep growing together:

Thank you for walking this journey with me.

When you hold a grievance, you forget who you are.

In Lesson 68 of A Course in Miracles, “Love Holds No Grievances,” we are given a profound correction about what a grievance really is. The lesson does not ask us to deny our grievances or pretend they are not there. Instead, it invites us to look more deeply at what a grievance actually represents.

A grievance is not just anger — it is a wrong idea about who you are. It’s a mistaken identity.

According to the Course, to hold a grievance is to forget who you are, to see yourself as a body, and to let fear rule your mind. This means a grievance is never just about an external situation. It is always tied to a shift in identity.

Grievances Are Based on Self Identity

It can appear that upset is caused by what someone else has done. However, this teaching reframes that entirely. What is felt is directly connected to what is believed about the self.

When a grievance is held, an identity is being accepted. It is the identity of someone who has been hurt, wronged, or attacked. This is why grievances feel so personal—they are not just interpretations of events, but statements about self.

 Happy Astrological New Year!

March 20 marks the Astrological New Year as the Sun moves into Aries, bringing a sense of reset, renewal, and forward movement. After the slower, more reflective energy of Pisces, there is a noticeable shift into action, clarity, and momentum. With Mercury turning direct on the same day, some of the confusion, delays, or second-guessing of the past few weeks begins to lift, making it easier to move forward with what has already been stirring beneath the surface.

This week carries a strong invitation to begin again, but not from the same patterns. Aries energy encourages action, but the deeper question is what you are acting from. If you are still identifying with old grievances or familiar roles, you may simply recreate more of the same. Midweek brings a moment of structure and honesty, asking you to ground your intentions in something real rather than impulsive.

By the end of the week, there is a sense of expansion and openness, especially in how you relate to others and to your own direction. It is a powerful time to notice what you are ready to move forward with, and just as importantly, what identities you are no longer willing to carry into this new cycle.

Taken together, these alignments suggest a meaningful transition. First comes reflection and inner listening, then clarity about what truly matters, and finally the courage to move forward. For many people, this week may feel like the moment when a quiet realization begins turning into action.
