Hello Miracle Family,
Because you’re part of this community, I know you’re serious about going deeper, not just in your Course studies but in your own self-awareness. So let’s take a real look at where you might still be waging war on peace.
Defense looks harmless, even smart, but it’s not. When you explain, justify, or protect yourself, what you’re really saying is, “I don’t trust love to take care of me.” That’s the ego’s plan for safety: fight harder, talk louder, control more. But love doesn’t work that way.
Love doesn’t need a bodyguard. Love is the guard.
Every time you defend, you declare that fear is real. Every time you drop your defense, you declare that love is enough. Defenselessness isn’t weakness. It’s trust in your Loving Right Mind, the part of you that knows peace doesn’t need protection.
So if you’ve been tense, tired, or just plain worn out from trying to hold it all together, maybe it’s not the world attacking you. Maybe it’s you attacking your own peace.
Here’s your practice this week:
Notice every time you feel the urge to defend. That’s your signal you’ve left trust.
Take three breaths: one for you, one for them, one for the world.
Say, “Peace protects me now.”
Let love do its job. It’s the only guard you’ll ever need.
If you haven’t watched this week’s class yet, or want to hear it with fresh ears, you can find the replay in your Mighty Companion Community members' area. And as always, your Mighty Companion Study Guide is there to help you go deeper with what’s rising in you now. Check out the updates to Earl Purdy’s ACIM Language of Love Glossary, an ever-evolving list of substitutions that can help make reading ACIM easier.
The Living the Miracle Together: Activating Abundance as a Spiritual Family workshop is just over a week away (November 15). If you haven't already, RSVP now. Although the event is free for Lifetime Members, you must register to get the link.
