First, the honest bit
The teacher account for the login section (read more in this guide) is a feature I built because I needed it for my students, and I thought it would be useful for other teachers. And from your feedback, it seems it is, which is great. But the truth is, it doesn't cover costs. I've been quietly subsidising it because I believe in the value, but to keep developing new features (and keep things sustainable), I need to make a few adjustments.
The New Tiers + Features
A teacher account allows you to create classes, issue join codes, and view scores for your students. Previously, higher tiers offered higher per‑class limits, but that didn't reflect how teachers actually use the system. Class sizes are fairly consistent; what varies is how many classes a teacher has. Now, all paid tiers support up to 30 students per class, with tier differences based on the number of classes you need.
To make it easier to understand which tier is right for you, there is a brief description:
- BASIC: for teachers managing a single class.
- STANDARD: for teachers with multiple classes.
- ELITE: for dept heads or lead teachers.
The FREE
tier (1 class, 5 students) gives you two weeks to explore the system.
The most requested feature, data export, is now available for ELITE
accounts. You can download student scores, quiz attempts, last sign in date and other data as a CSV file for analysis.
The existing features are all still there, namely remove students (all tiers), and archive classes and import students (STANDARD and ELITE tiers).
What this means for your account
While developing the system, I discovered an oversight on my part: some accounts that should have expired are still active. My fault entirely. This affects your account.
If your account has expired, here's what will happen.
- It will remain active during a grace period (until 31 March).
- After the grace period, the account will expire.
- You can renew any time, under the new tier system.
I wanted to be upfront about this and give you time to act if you wish to keep your paid access.
Why does this matter?
Put simply, your support helps me to keep building tools like this. If you found the teacher login section
useful in the past and want to continue using it with the new limits, logging in to renew
is a meaningful way to help.
If you no longer need the account, that's absolutely fine too. Either way, thank you for being part of this.
