Mental health is top of mind for us in January, and we are thrilled to be able to offer a variety of wellness workshops and resources to support your selfcare goals. As always, workshops are FREE and open to all education professionals.

Winter Wellness Series

January 12th 6-7:00pm EST Stress Management with Aishia

Join us for Part II of Balancing Relationships and learn essential tools to manage our interpersonal relationships. In this session, we'll practice our communication skills, and our boundaries so that we can keep the relationships that work, and end or renegotiate relationships that have been challenging.

2nd Tuesday of Every Month

Every Monday: 5 - 5:45pm EST- Mindfulness Yoga with Klodiana

Deliberately mindful, measured movement can help you slow down and nurture your well-being. Let go of the stress as you are guided through a gentle and deeply relaxing Yoga sequence that will also increase flexibility. End with a guided meditation to deepen your relaxation and inner stillness.

Every Wednesday: 5 - 6pm EST- STRENGTH Training with Scott

Sweat through this high energy interval training class designed to target all muscle groups. This class is a total body workout designed to increase muscular strength and tone your body from head to toe! Bring your efforts, we’ll take care of the rest! All fitness levels welcome.

Every Thursday: 7 - 8pm EST - Cardio Kickboxing with Scott

Kick with purpose and throw jabs through a combination of boxing, martial arts and body conditioning exercises. Our cardio kickboxing class feels more like a party than a workout. This is a non-stop, cardio workout that will tone your entire body and leave you sweating at the end.

Monthly Art Therapy Sessions with Cynthia Huerta: 5-6:00pm EST

Everyone can use a little art in their lives! Join this workshop for a fun, simple, and interactive drawing lesson, peppered with our own artistic talents. All you need is a pencil and paper- and whatever coloring tools you have on hand. No drawing expertise needed!

This Friday, January 15th: 5 - 6pm EST- Mindful Journaling with Lindsey

Journaling is a great way to express yourself in a manner that is free from judgement or expectation. It teaches you self-compassion and acceptance. While these sessions will focus on setting intention, expressing gratitude, and self affirmations; there will be room for you to be drawn to whatever it is you feel like expressing that day.

PROFESSIONAL LEARNING

Managing Emotions in Times of Uncertainty & Stress

Developed by the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence, Managing Emotions in Times of Uncertainty & Stress will provide participants with the knowledge, skills, and strategies to understand and manage their emotions and those of their students. The 10-hour online course is designed for school staff, including teachers, paraprofessionals, counselors, principals, and non-teaching staff in preK-12 schools.
