Mid-December 2020

Dear Alumni, Partners, and Friends,

As we enter these final weeks of the Fall academic quarter, we want to thank you and your school communities for all the hard work, resilience, and flexibility you have exercised as we collectively navigate Covid Era teaching and learning disruptions.

In addition to the professional learning opportunities listed, we invite you to CELEBRATE WITH US, through a variety of workshop offerings meant to engage you in thoughtful reflection, self-care, art therapy, and much more! Feel free to pass this along to all members of your school communities, including students and families.

We look forward to connecting with you and welcome your feedback.

With sincere gratitude for all you do,

Julissa DiLoné

DECEMBER GIVING

Several of you have reached out to inquire about centering social justice and BIPOC organizations in your giving practices. In the following, we offer list of some of the organizations we follow, work with, or have been connected to through members of our network. This is not an extensive list, and we offer our apologies if we've inadvertently omitted your organization (contact me at jad2222@tc.columbia.edu). We encourage you to do your own research as you consider your options.

(Shared by TR@TC Alumna Kendra Miller)

We are a grassroots organization led by undocumented immigrant youth. The NYSYLC (New York State Youth Leadership Council) is New York's first organization led by undocumented immigrant youth. We work to empower immigrant youth through leadership development, grassroots organizing, educational advancement, and self-expression. Our goal is to give undocumented youth the tools and space to organize and create change in our communities. Donate - Campaign will remain open through 2021
