DULUTH ART CHAT - ARTOBER and More
Although it didn't feel like FALL
We hope that everyone had a chance to celebrate the 37th annual Duluth Fall Festival! Maybe it will cool down before THANKSGIVING!?

The Duluth Public Art Commission would like to share the
ABUNDANCE of artistic happenings this month! Whether you are looking for an exhibit, a festival, or something SPOOKY……. Duluth and Gwinnett have a lot to offer!

Visit the Duluth website - www.duluthga.net/events and check out the “ARTOBER” events our neighbors are hosting - www.exploregwinnett.org/artober/.
A special thanks to GOODWILL of North Georgia, for becoming a Public Art Partner this summer.
With the generous
donations of our sponsors,
Duluth LEAVES everything
to the imagination of artful
minds! In addition to
procuring permanent public
art for the community, we
continue to showcase the
local talent of our student
partners at SKA Academy
www.skaacademy.com and
are proud to highlight a new temporary Main Street display from local photographer Edisa Skocic www.edisaskdphotography.com.
In case you haven’t been here lately, you’re missing a CORNUCOPIA of fun! Check out the new visitor’s guide for a snapshot of year-round offerings as well as local eats and treats www.duluthga.net/visitorsguide.

It’s HARVEST time, and the Duluth Public Art Commission is looking for new members! Please consider sharing your time and talent. We want our citizens to be empowered to create insightful solutions to important community issues and needs. You can find information and an application about all our Boards/Commissions/Committees HERE.

The Public Art Commission meets 6:30pm on the second Wednesday of every month at Duluth City Hall; all meetings are open to the public. Join us to hear about our recent successes and generate new ideas for future projects. We appreciate our volunteers, and hope that keeping people more informed leads to opportunities for engagement, whether by submitting ideas to DPAC, working hands-on via a project sub-committee, or just connecting with other “artful” folks in the community.
