Subject: DriverX Update

Dear Cast & Crew,

I hope everyone had a fun holiday and that 2016 is off to a great start. I wanted to give you the latest with DriverX. After shooting some pickups in December, we've been editing the film--first with Henry putting together an assembly and now with our editor from our last two films, Eric Strand, taking over. We're looking forward to seeing his first cut in the next month or two. So far, we've been really happy with the footage!

If you're following us on social media, (and if you're not, shame on you!), you may have noticed more activity in the last few weeks. We've hired a couple of social media folks to help us develop our presence there and that's been a big success so far. We've been growing our following and adding fans to the film and we expect to ramp that up even more in the coming weeks.

If you're not connecting with us on social media, please do so...

And if you're doing something cool that we can share, make sure we know about it. We definitely want to spread the good word about everyone's successes.

KICKSTARTER

The biggest development to share with you right now is our impending Kickstarter campaign. We hope to launch in early March and run a roughly 30 day campaign. I can't tell you how important it is that we have a successful campaign. Money raised on Kickstarter will not only help us finish the film, but also allow us to license some great music from legendary musician Daniel Ash, the founder of the seminal rock bands Bauhaus, Love and Rockets, and Tones on Tail. He is even interested in going into the studio and recording some tracks specifically for the film.

The other big thing we hope to accomplish with this campaign is to connect with niche audience groups, like Uber and Lyft drivers, stay-at-home-dads, fans of Better Call Saul and other groups. This audience building will be crucial when we get to the distribution stage.

YOU CAN HELP!

I know that some of you may be planning crowdfunding campaigns yourselves one day. I'm looking for some helpers for this campaign and there's no better way to learn how to do this than by doing it. This will be my third campaign and I will share with you all I know about how to run one successfully. I hope to put together a brainstorming session very soon, so if you're interested in learning how to launch your own campaign and have some time to help out on this one, please email me.

Aside from volunteering to help run the campaign, I ask that all of you help spread the word once we launch. A successful campaign is so important to the overall success of the film, and we want to create something that all of us can be incredibly proud of.

I'll be back in touch with details on our Kickstarter launch and any other useful updates.  Until then, keep on motoring!

Best,
Mark
