Summer of Safety Provides Safe Space for Young People: Seattle Parks and Recreation will offer Summer of Safety (SOS), a free program that provides structured activities and a safe space for young people not connected to other supervised programs over the summer. (more)

Mark Your Calendars for Picnics in the Precincts: Precinct Picnics provide opportunities for each precinct’s surrounding neighborhoods to come together and enjoy an afternoon of celebration with the officers that serve their families and businesses. (more)

First Quarter Performance Outcomes for the City Funded Homeless Services System: 3,030 households exited homeless services programs to enter housing in the first quarter (January 1 – March 31) of 2018. This represents an increase of 1,241 households in comparison to 2017. (more)

Volunteer at Seattle/King County Clinic: Help this giant health clinic offer free dental, vision and medical care to underserved and vulnerable populations. The Clinic needs healthcare professionals as well as general support volunteers. The next Clinic will take place September 20-23. (more)

Free Summer Meals and Recreation Activities: This summer, Seattle Parks and Recreation, Seattle Human Services Department, and United Way of King County are partnering to host a drop-in summer program offering free meals and recreation activities to kids and teens ages 1 to 18. (more)

Seattle Releases Environmental Justice and Equitable Development Plan for the Duwamish Valley: The Duwamish Valley Action Plan sets forth a series of actions and strategies to expand economic opportunity, make environment progress, and increase investments in the South Park and Georgetown communities. Funding Available to Support Duwamish River Neighborhoods: Seattle Department of Neighborhoods is seeking proposals to help fund community-based projects that improve the quality of life for communities living in the Duwamish River Valley. (more)

Join the 2018 Urban Ag Bike Tour: Join Rainier Valley Food Bank and Bike Works on a tour of Southeast Seattle's most beautiful food production sites. This summer's tour will feature four routes, all beginning at Bike Works and ending with small bites, thanks to Central Co-op. (more)
