Don't let the Graces of Mercy Sunday Pass You By


These are exciting times! We are in the final stretch of preparation for the greatest day of grace of the year, The Feast of Divine Mercy, celebrated the first Sunday after Easter each year. Rejoice. Be ready. Be glad.


The graces begin to flow this year at the Vigil Masses on Saturday, April 10th, and continue to flow all day on Sunday, April 11th. Let's make the most of it by making the following novenas as a way of showing the Lord how much we trust in and appreciate His love and mercy.


Monthly Novenas for America - April 1 - 9


What perfect timing for the novenas for our nation we make the first nine days of every month. Each day we will be praying for our country the same way the Lord Himself told Saint Faustina to pray for hers. Each day we will prayerfully be bringing our nation and all the nations of the world to the Day of Mercy, the day the Lord promised that ALL the divine floodgates through which grace flow are opened.


Begin today, April 1, and continue with us for the next eight days. See below on how to receive the prayers daily.

Divine Mercy Sunday Novena - April 2 - 10


We also encourage you to participate in the Novena of Chaplets that the Lord asked St. Faustina to make in preparation for the Feast of Mercy. It begins on Good Friday, April 2, and concludes on Saturday, April 10th.


For each day of this novena, the Lord asked that a different group of souls be entrusted to Him. As Fr. Chris Alar, MIC points out in his new book, Understanding Divine Mercy, while you don't have to pray this Novena to obtain the grace of Divine Mercy Sunday, it is a good way to prepare. Jesus promised, "By this novena [of Chaplets], I will grant every possible grace to souls" (Diary 796). So, here is our opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our loved ones, our enemies, and people we don't even know. Let's do it!

Day 1, Thursay, April 1, 2021


1. The Litany of the Saints

Make a novena for your country. This novena will consist of the recitation of the Litany of the Saints.  (Jesus to St. Faustina, Diary passage 59)

Order the Divine Mercy for America Prayer Guide containing the Litany of the Saints, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, and Diary quotes regarding prayer for native lands.


2. The Chaplet of Divine Mercy

I want all the sisters and wards to say the chaplet which I have taught you. They are to say it for nine days in the chapel in order to appease My Father and to entreat God’s mercy for Poland. (Diary, 714)

3. Divine Mercy Holy Hour

Another time I heard these words: Make a daily hour of adoration for nine days. During this adoration try to unite yourself in prayer with My Mother. Pray with all your heart in union with Mary, and try also during this time to make the Way of the Cross. I was to make this novena for the intention of my Motherland. (Diary, 32, 33)

4. Holy Communions

On the feast of the Assumption in 1934, the Blessed Virgin Mary told St. Faustina: My daughter, what I demand from you is prayer, prayer, and once again prayer, for the world and especially for your country. For nine days receive Holy Communion in atonement and unite yourself closely to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. During these nine days you will stand before God as an offering; always and everywhere, at all times and places, day or night, whenever you wake up, pray in the spirit. In spirit, one can always remain in prayer. (Diary, 325)
