The Consecration to the Guardian Angel The angel inflames the well-disposed soul with the love of God and gives true spiritual gladness and joy, taking away all sadness and disturbance which the enemy brings on. The reason why the good angel imparts such consolations on a soul is to move and enkindle the will, inflaming it with charity, which is the principal good of the spiritual life. It is exactly this love which gives us then the strength to be self-controlled, to bear our sufferings with patience, peace, and even joy. In sum, it enables us to embrace our daily cross with love. For when the will is moved by love and joy, all things become lighter. Share a consolation you have received sometime in your life.
