Consecration to the Guardian Angel 4th Fundamental Direction: Mission By our Baptism, we are incorporated into Christ and into the people of God. Baptism makes us sharers in the priestly, prophetic, and kingly office of Christ, and we have our own part to play in the mission of the whole Christian people in the Church and in the world. Read CCC 898, 899, 900, 850, 851, 864 1. Mission always means to point to Him who sends us. Through the faithful transparency of the missionary, the one who sends should become visible in the one sent. To fulfill a mission is not to proclaim oneself, but to pass on the message of Him who sends. Give an example of someone in your life who you have witnessed being on a mission.
2. What role does grace play in a mission? Give an example of what might go wrong without it. 3. How can Angels help us with our mission? 4. Adoration, Contemplation, and Expiation bear fruit in mission. All are necessary. Balance is the key. How do you visualize or live out balancing all four traits? Without mentioning specific names, who do you know that does this well?
5. God created you with a specific mission in mind. Think now about what that mission might be. Ask Him to reveal it to you. What comes to mind?
