Jesus complained - "And who knows this Feast? No one!"

"And who knows anything about this feast? No one!

Even those who should be proclaiming My mercy and teaching people about it often do not know about it themselves."

Jesus to St. Faustina, November 5, 1934, Diary entry 341

Dear Friend,

Can you imagine how Jesus sounded when He spoke these words to Saint Faustina? She had been praying about the Lord's desire for the Holy Father to approve the Feast of Mercy when she asked Him:

"Jesus, I am very surprised that You bid me talk about this Feast of Mercy, for they tell me there is already such a feast and so why should I talk about it?"

You see, this was an ancient feast stemming from the oldest liturgical document in existence, the "Apostolic Constitutions," celebrated in some places as Low Sunday, but obviously not with the depth of understanding and solemnity desired by the Lord, as He responded:

"And who knows anything about this feast? No one! Even those who should be proclaiming My mercy and teaching people about it often do not know about it themselves. That is why I want the image to be solemnly blessed on the first Sunday after Easter, and I want it to be venerated publicly so that every soul may know about it." (Diary, 341).

This conversation between St. Faustina and Jesus took place 91 years ago. Clearly, the Lord was not happy that so few knew about the extraordinary graces available on the Feast of Mercy or were proclaiming it. And, most likely, He's still not happy.

Although millions have come to know the greatness of this day and take full advantage of the Lord's mercy, too many are still unaware. What a shame and travesty!

So, let's get to work to change this situation.

Here are some easy ways you can do your part to proclaim God's unfathomable mercy and teach your family, friends, and parish about it.
