They do all in their power to draw men away from God, but first they draw us away from the Holy Angels by making them seem to be nothing more than chubby little cherubs. If holy angels were nothing more than chubby little cherubs, pride and self-confidence would lead us to believe we wouldn’t need their help. After all, what could that chubby little cherub do for me? These are spiritual dangers and temptations. When we start to believe the holy angel wouldn't be of any help to us is precisely when we should call upon him and invoke his help.
