Subject: Insta360 X4: A game-changing 8K 360° video action camera

Insta360 X4 - the 360° 8k Action Camera

Insta360’s groundbreaking X3 was a game-changer in the world of underwater action cameras. Its successor - the Insta360 X4 - has completely rewritten the rule book, capable of filming 360° video in 8K at 30fps

For higher frame rates, even smoother action and perfect slow-mo shots the X4 can also film in 5.7K@60fps and 4K@100fps.

It can double as a wide-angle single-lens action cam delivering smooth, ultra-wide footage with a 170° FOV at up to 4K60fps, and the 72MP, 1/2″ sensor can shoot high-resolution stills if needed.

Shoot first, point later

To help users create the best videos – even as a beginner – the X4’s 360º capabilities enable creators to ‘shoot first, point later’.

Powerful AI-enabled software allows you to reframe shots in post-processing, so you can stay in the moment when filming and find the best shot once you're finished. You can literally choose any angle you like if you've filmed in 360°!

Invisible accessories

The Invisible Dive Case and Invisible Selfie Stick

For scuba divers, the Insta360 X4 comes with some fantastic accessories and new AI-powered software to create seamless footage free of interference from the housing and its mount.

The X4 camera is waterproof to 10m, but the Invisible Dive Case takes it down to 50m. It's built to correct for lens refraction, reducing image distortion around the edges, and no part of it will appear in shot.

Perfectly complementing the case is the Invisible Selfie Stick, which is automatically removed from 360° footage, meaning you can create drone-like shots without the use of a drone, an expensive proposition underwater!

AI-assisted post-processing

Create drone-like selfie footage

Insta360’s Studio for Windows and Mac and app for Android and Apple includes a raft of AI-assisted features to find the best settings for editing and perfect angles - plus a plugin enabling footage to be directly reframed in Adobe Premiere Pro.

Divers will definitely appreciate the editing suite’s AquaVision 2.0 feature, which uses AI to colour-correct underwater footage without the need for external filters, not to mention the longevity of the X4’s battery, capable of delivering up to 135 minutes of recording time at 5.7K30fps and a fantastic 75 mins when filming in 8K.

Not just about image quality

The Insta360 X4 Dive Bundle

‘X4 will be transformative for creators as reframed video now holds its own alongside footage shot on regular cameras,’ said JK Liu, founder of Insta360 at the X4’s launch.

‘But X4 isn’t just about image quality, it’s designed to be the most robust, easy-to-use 360° action camera ever, no matter your experience.’
