The remains of an exceptionally rare 13th-century medieval ship believed to be Britain’s oldest known protected wreck in English waters, has been discovered in the Swash Channel on the approaches to Poole harbour.

The Marine Conservation Society's Great British Beach Clean returns this September, and the charity is calling on volunteers to sign up and get involved to help protect our oceans.

This week's Featured Photographer is Marcia Riederer, originally from Brazil and now resident in Australia. Marcia's day job is working for the conservation of threatened native species, but she spends a lot of her free time underwater, looking for new creatures to photograph using her skills to increase knowledge and awareness to change people’s attitude towards the ocean.
