My perfect dive - Bonaire

Everybody's got a favourite place they'd love to dive again and again. For regular DIVE contributor Jeremy Brown, that place is Bonaire...

Whale sharks 10 aggregation hotspots

There are certain parts of the oceans where the world's largest fish likes to gather en masse. Sometimes it's to gorge on tasty plankton and fish eggs; other times it might be to find a mate; other times they just seem to... gather. Here's 10 of the top places in the world to hang out with these rather amiable, gentle giants.

Back into the Blue PHIDEX returns

The Philippines Dive and travel expo returns for the first time since 2019, and is heading to Manila this coming August.

Coral restoration Hope Ambassador required

Following the success of its Indonesian Hope Reef, Sheba - otherwise known as a pet food brand - is recruiting a Hope Ambassador for a new project in the Maldives. Applications will be accepted until 30 June.

Marine protected areas the 10 largest

Governments, conservation NGOs, charities and dive operators are coming together with the aim of protecting 30 per cent of the oceans by 2030. We have a long way to go, but progress has been made. Here are the 10 largest MPAs to date.

One dive, one fish the empty Gulf of Maine

Once known as the breadbasket of North America, the Gulf of Maine has been fished virtually empty. UPG's editor-in-chief Nirupam Nigam took himself to Cape Elizabeth to investigate - and what he didn't find nearly broke his heart.

DIVE Spring 2022 Print Issue

Spring is here and in this issue, we have some very different ways of seeing things, as  Douglas David Seifert investigates the eyes of the underwater world, accompanied by some out-of-this-world macro photography; Alfie Minnaar sets sail with the unlikely captains of Raja Ampat's Calico Jack; Christian Horras almost gets speared by marlin chasing a Baja Magdalena bait ball and Mark 'Crowley' Russell reports how high blood pressure may live up to its reputation as a 'silent killer' of scuba divers. Plus - we head back to Bonaire with Jeremy Brown; round up the best of the season's Featured Photographers; review some of our favourite books and - of course - take a look at another curiosity of the ocean depths.
