Eye to eye - seeing underwater

World's deepest shipwreck

The world's deepest shipwreck to be located and surveyed has been discovered in the Philippine Sea. The USS Samuel B Roberts - or 'Sammy B' - was sunk during the same 1944 battle as the previous record holder, the USS Johnston.

DIVE Spring 2022 Print Issue

Spring is here and in this issue, we have some very different ways of seeing things, as  Douglas David Seifert investigates the eyes of the underwater world, accompanied by some out-of-this-world macro photography; Alfie Minnaar sets sail with the unlikely captains of Raja Ampat's Calico Jack; Christian Horras almost gets speared by marlin chasing a Baja Magdalena bait ball and Mark 'Crowley' Russell reports how high blood pressure may live up to its reputation as a 'silent killer' of scuba divers. Plus - we head back to Bonaire with Jeremy Brown; round up the best of the season's Featured Photographers; review some of our favourite books and - of course - take a look at another curiosity of the ocean depths.
