British Antarctic Survey needs YOU!

Looking for an exciting change in career with new and distinctly unique opportunities? Think you've got what it takes to dive in a place where you have to carve your entrance into the ice, and it's night-diving for six months of the year? British Antarctic Survey has diving and boating jobs available at its stations in Rothera and King Edward Point - applications accepted until the end of March.

A Year in Antarctica

If you want to know what working in Antarctica is really like, check out this fascinating article from Joe Marlow, who spent more than a year on ice with BAS.

Ukraine Appeal

The situation unfolding in Ukraine is dire. Millions of people are fleeing the country, left destitute by the intense bombardment of its cities, with thousands of homes destroyed and hundreds of civilian lives lost. People need help. The Disasters Emergency Commission has set up a fundraiser to ensure money received gets to where it is most needed.

Garmin Descent G1 Solar

Sports-tech specialist Garmin has launched the latest in its series of multi-purpose dive computers, with optional solar charging.

Northern Diver Semi-Tech suit

Need a wetsuit that will keep you warm in cool water but not too hot in the tropics? Northern Diver's new three-piece combo should do the trick

Featured Photographer Tobias Zimmer

Tobias Zimmer from Cologne, Germany, was already a seasoned traveller before he learned to dive in Phuket, Thailand, in 2004. He studied the technical aspects of underwater photography at university, and during a trip back to Thailand to get some more experience, he decided to become a dive instructor at the same time.

Since then, Tobias has been published in several different German magazines, and ranks Misool Resort as his favourite place to dive, allowing him to easily switch between macro and wide-angle photography.

Check out Tobias' excellent portfolio here, and get in touch if you'd like to see your work featured on our website.

New recycled range of fins

Fourth Element has added another badge to its list of eco-credentials with a new range of fins made from recycled plastic.

Scubapro's new GO

With world travel starting up again, Scubapro has launched a revamped version of its popular, lightweight, jacket-style travel BCD.

DIVE Winter 2022 Print Issue

Our Winter 2022 print magazine is out now - and we're keeping it as cool as ever starting with Douglas David Seifert's epic dive journey through God's Pocket, Canada, and Alfie Minnaar's visit to Una Una - an Indonesian Island so pristine that almost nobody knows about it. Leading marine ecologist and expert crustacean taxonomist Peter Davie takes us through the fascinating world of crabs, and Jeremy Brown brings us a stunning photographic display of Bonaire's bioluminescent ostrocods. That's already pretty cool - but if you need more, we have the coolest interview of them all, as we talk to Her Deepness herself, the inestimable Dr Sylvia Earle, about her new book Ocean: A Global Odyssey.
