Notes about the upcoming Youth Programs at Lake Texoma
We are very excited to have this opportunity to work with SRF Youth Services for these wonderful programs. Our group is the host for these events taking place in October. The announcement of these programs is being sent to members in many states around us. The monastic lead SRF Regional Day Programs are new and this is one of the first to be held. There was one other in Pennsylvania.
The home and spiritual setting of Ms. Lynn Meyer at Lake Texoma is where we have held our spring and fall retreats for many years. Since our group is hosting these events we will need help for various tasks. We will need help during the week prior to the girls event on October 8th for setting up three floors in her home where the events will take place. The activities will be separately dedicated to juniors, 7-12 years, teens, 13-18 years, and parents. All activities will occur simultaneously.
There will be needs for rearranging Ms. Meyer's home for these events by moving furniture, setting up chairs, tables, altars, kitchen help for meals, and some things we haven't thought of yet. And don't forget at the end we will need to put everything back.
Since this program is the first of it's kind at Lake Texoma we are still organizing the logistics of our needs.
