Texoma Retreat & Fall Charity Issue

GOD FIRST

Your retreat will give you an opportunity to free yourself from the compulsion of making useless conversation with others, that you may talk silently and inwardly with God. It is very important to develop a dynamic, living relationship with the Divine Beloved of our souls--a relationship that is more real and meaningful than the ever-changing outward experiences of ordinary living.

October 2015 -- Fall Texoma Lake Retreat

On October 17 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm we will hold our bi-annual retreat at Lake Texoma, Texas. The details of the day's activities are still being worked on, however, the times of events will be the same as in the past. We will send updated information with a reminder of this event.

Those who have attended this retreat will attest to the divine upliftment that this day provides. Coming together like this will recharge your spiritual battery with long lasting effects. The location and home of Ms. Lynn Meyer has a divine quality which allows one to put aside all mental burdens for a day, and concentrate on the Guru and his teachings.

We have the signup sheets in the foyer of our chapel for ridesharing and food. We do need to have the number of attendees for seating and food.  If you can not be at the chapel to sign the sheets please send an email to Jack Welch siriusmark45@gmail.com so we can add you to the attendance. We would also like to know if you have a preference for gluten free or dairy free food.

More information on the retreat including what to bring, map and directions, can be found on our website here.

Many of our attendees come from locations away from our local Dallas Fort Worth area. In those cases please send your attendance and food preferences to the above email address.
CHARITY

Charity is born of sympathy. By sympathy, a quality of Omnipresence, a person may transfer his consciousness to that within suffering men; and experience, as his own, their griefs and limitations. It is then that the charitable desire to offer help springs forth.

The Good Samaritans of Garland, Inc. has a broad outreach in the greater Garland area and is affiliated with many local, national, and international advocates for the hungry and displaced assistance programs. Please check out their services web page. This is an impressively dedicated, organized and serious group serving the less fortunate.
DFW-SRF FALL CHARITY OUTREACH

Our charity outreach this year will begin on Sunday, October 11, and continue until Sunday, November 1. Our efforts will benefit Good Samaritans of Garland. This is a very energetic and dedicated group of people helping others in need in the greater Garland area. We will be helping them meet the needs of the homeless as they are especially low on supplies in that area. There is a very specific list of needed items available at the donation display in the Book Room and listed below. Our support is much needed and greatly appreciated by this wonderful group.
