Trishula Snanam will be conducted for Lord Shiva in ICCT Pushkarni. This event takes place on the concluding day of the 5-day Maha Sivaratri celebrations. After Choornika Utsavam (exfoliation with turmeric and sesame oil) Abhishekam is performed to Utsava Vigrahas in the Snapana Mandapam in the middle of the Pushkarni. At the very moment, all the Devatas and Gods invited to the Brahmotsavam also take a dip in the Pushkarni. It is believed that all the devotees who immerse themselves at the same moment in the Pushkarni will get rid of their past sins and gain good health and receive the blessings of Lord Shiva.
NOTE: Devotees taking a dip in the Pushkarni are advised to bring a towel and change of clothes.
