Preparing the Soil for a Mighty Harvest

"True growth requires a season of deep preparation. When we take the time to build a strong foundation, the structure of our faith and service can stand tall against any storm." - David Avritt (CEO and Founder)

Proverbs 16:3 - Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.

Greetings to our faithful supporters and friends,

I want to start by simply saying thank you to everyone for taking the time to read this edition of CA Jail Outreach: Renewed Growth. We are keeping the newsletter short this month, but the update is vital.

As we approach the end of 2025, we are not looking back just yet—we are strictly positioning ourselves for the future. We are currently in a season of "deep work." While the world slows down for the holidays, we are tightening our belts and refining our operations. The organization is undergoing a full administrative remap and diligently preparing the ground for 2026.

We are closing the books for 2025 with focus and intensity. Be on the lookout for the January 2026 newsletter! In that edition, we will share full-year-to-date statistics and provide the latest Harvest news on salvations, discipleship, and more.

Thank you for standing with us as we prepare for a massive year ahead!

Building Strong Foundations: Essential Listening

"Real growth happens when we stop looking for quick fixes and start doing the hard work of reconstruction. Whether it is our manhood, our marriage, or our children, we must build on the solid rock of truth." - David Avritt

1 Corinthians 16:13 - Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

We are highlighting these three essential episodes to help you finish the year strong and prepare for what lies ahead.

The Field Manual for Manhood: Stop Patching, Start Rebuilding. Many men spend their lives patching up cracks in their character or their circumstances. This episode calls for a halt to the temporary fixes. It is time to examine the foundation, tear out what is rotting, and rebuild a life of integrity and purpose that can actually carry the weight of leadership.

The January Dream Date: Stop Googling and Start Planning. Stop drifting into the new year and start designing it. This episode challenges couples and individuals to put down the search engines and pick up a pen. Learn how to intentionally map out your goals, your family activities, and your spiritual journey for the upcoming year before it even begins.

A Taste of Eternity: The Sunday Evening Rehearsal. Why do we gather? It is more than just a weekly routine. This episode explores the profound truth that our worship here on earth is a rehearsal for the eternal worship to come. Shift your perspective and discover the joy of preparing your heart for its forever home.

Building the Vessel for 2026

"Excellence in administration is not just about paperwork; it is about stewardship. We will not lose souls to bad administration, for every number represents a life." - Chaplain David Avritt

1 Corinthians 14:40 - Let all things be done decently and in order.

In January, look for our comprehensive Annual Report. We will provide a 360-degree view of our "Soul Metrics"—from coffee sales to the reach of our podcast, and most importantly, salvations and reintegration stories. For now, here is where we stand:

Operational Excellence My goal is to move our efficiency from 70% to 100%. We are implementing new workflows to close administrative gaps so that no one seeking help is ever lost in the shuffle.

Volunteer Surge We have already received 8 requests to serve from experienced camp leaders across North America. They found us through our Master Plan and are ready to serve. We still need a lot of help.

We follow the model of Jesus: Help first. Heal second. We meet needs to prepare the soil for salvation. The Core Foundation never changes, but the building must adapt to shelter today’s brokenness.

Coming Soon: Raising Daughters to Fight Giants

"When you raise a daughter to know her value in God, she learns that respect isn't a request; it is a requirement." - Chaplain David Avritt

Proverbs 31:25 - Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.

We are currently working on a special episode inspired by a question from a recent jail ministry video call: "How do I teach my daughter to fight against giants?" Here is a brief preview for all the Girl Dads out there:

Teach Her Standards: If a boy won't open the door for her out of respect, he doesn't deserve to date her. Period.

Arm Her with Truth: Giants often lie about her worth. Give her God's Word so she can fight back.

Love Her Mom Out Loud: Let your daughter see you adore your wife. If she sees how a Queen is treated, she won't settle for less than a King.

Rooted in Redemption:

The Tree, The Cross, and Me.

"The tree of life was planted in a garden, but the tree of salvation was planted on a hill. One brought fruit, but the other brought freedom." - Chaplain David Avritt

1 Peter 2:24 - Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

I am so grateful to finally share the title of my upcoming Amazon book project, arriving in February 2026! Rooted in Redemption: The Tree, The Cross, and Me.

This book is for anyone walking through a tough season. The first Adam fell by eating from a tree in a garden of plenty; the Second Adam saved us by dying on a tree on a hill of suffering. When the winds of life blow hard and the ground feels shaky, we realize that the Cross is not just a symbol of ancient history; it is a shelter for today.

It is a tree for me to lean on when I am weak, and a tree for you to find rest under when you are weary. When you look at a tree today, let it remind you that you can stand firm in the storm because you are held by the One who conquered the tree.
