Subject: 🇺🇲 CA Jail Outreach: Camp Growth Update: Reaching the 648 we aren't just sharing updates—we’re sharing a Shift

From a $0 start to reaching 648 Junior Campers, the Lord is moving.

Camp Growth and CA Jail Outreach Nationwide

We are officially live and up and running at Camp Growth! This newsletter is designed to keep you connected with the home of CA Jail Outreach as we serve families in Butte and Sacramento Counties. Throughout this month's edition, we will share how you can get involved with our mission, highlight our upcoming calendar of events, and provide an overview of our current statistics and impact goals. We look forward to sharing the journey of growth with you as we prepare for our 2026 Junior Camp season.

"But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." â€” Philippians 4:19

A Mission of Restoration:

 Reaching the 648 Campers

Please join us in fervent prayer as we embark on a vital mission to reconnect with 648 Junior Campers throughout Northern California. These precious children are on a specific Angel Tree list, where families have expressed a deep desire for their children to receive camp scholarships.

Though they have sought this opportunity in the past, many have yet to see that door open. We want to ensure that every child on this list knows they are valued and invited. Because these children have parents currently in the justice system or are living in foster care due to the incarceration of both parents, they are already fully qualified to join us.

To bridge this gap, our leadership has launched a comprehensive outreach strategy to meet these families where they are. We are moving through this list systematically—making connections through personal emails, thoughtful voice memos, direct texts, and one-on-one phone calls from our leadership team.

Our hearts are set on a clear and inspired goal: to provide two dedicated weeks of camp this season—one week for girls and one for boys—to provide a safe sanctuary for growth and healing. We ask that you stand with us in prayer as we make these connections, believing that the Lord will provide the way for these 648 children to experience a life-changing summer in His presence.

 Investing in the Vision:

How You Can Help

As we work tirelessly to identify the Junior Campers who will join us this year, we are also preparing for the financial responsibilities that come with a mission of this scale. We have already secured our beautiful location at YWAM Chico and finalized our event insurance, but as we move closer to camp, the "little items" that are so easily overlooked are becoming our focus.

We started this journey with zero dollars, and in just two short months, we have built this Camp without asking for a single donation—until now. We invite you to visit the "What We Need" section on our website to see how you can lend a hand.

The most effective way to impact a child’s life is to gift a full Junior Camper scholarship, which covers their housing, food, and essential care. Additionally, we have an Amazon Registry for smaller, necessary supplies. We are building this from the ground up, and we invite you to invest in these children today.

If you have questions or would like to hear more about the vision, you may email us to schedule a one-on-one meeting with our Leadership or our CEO and Founder.

A Call to Intercession:

The Harvest in Our Neighborhoods

"The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest." — Matthew 9:37-38

We humbly ask for your prayers as we begin the vital work of reaching out to the families and children waiting for their opportunity to attend camp. To help you pray with precision, we have enclosed the specific number of eligible Junior Campers by county. If you reside in one of these areas, we ask that you pray specifically for the children in your community.

However, if you live outside these counties — or even in another state —we invite you to choose a county—or pray for them all—that we can reach every single child and bring them safely to camp.

Your location does not limit your impact; you can still stand with us and support this mission by visiting our website to help fund these scholarships.

Furthermore, if you know any family with a child aged 8-12 who has a parent in the justice system, please direct them to our website, and we will take care of the rest.

Our Regional Need by County: Sacramento: 434 | Butte: 64 | Yolo: 39 | Shasta: 35 | Tehama: 26 | Yuba: 26 | Placer: 23 | Sutter: 21 | Lake: 16 | Nevada: 11 | Solano: 11 | Lassen: 11 | El Dorado: 11 | Mendocino: 10 | Colusa: 6 | Glenn: 6 | Sonoma: 5 | Washoe: 5 | Plumas: 1 | Trinity: 1 (more on file)

Building on a Legacy of Faith: Honoring Our Mentors

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you." — Philippians 1:3

When this journey began a year ago, I sought the Lord for direction on how best to serve these children. In His providence, He led me to Ben and Grace Smith of Camp David International.

For over 25 years, they have dedicated their lives to serving children of incarcerated parents across the United States and around the world. After visiting their camp and witnessing their heart for the Lord and these children, I knew we had found the standard for our mission.

We are proud to use the methods and curricula they have spent decades refining—from the "Birthday Bash" for boys to "Princess Day" for girls. Their wisdom has provided the training and the structure that make Camp Growth possible.

We have built our foundation on the road they paved through years of sacrifice and prayer. We invite you to learn more about their incredible global impact by visiting the dedicated page on our website or going directly to their ministry site.

Camp David International is in Hesston, Kansas, about 35 miles north of Wichita.

We have a beautiful 61-acre property with a conference center and hotel, and a summer camp with lodges. Camp David, Kansas, and Camp David International

A Vision Established

"Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase." — Job 8:7

I want to share a personal update regarding our recent quarterly board meeting, where we sought the Lord’s hand in establishing a three-year matrix for our future. We were deeply moved by video testimonies of those we have helped—individuals who are now rising into executive leadership roles within our organization.

In just a short season, the Lord has increased our reach from nothing to a global scale: over 3.3 million social media views, 67,000 website hits, and 26,000 podcast downloads. Most importantly, we celebrate 89 souls won for the Kingdom and 146 benevolence gift cards distributed to those in need.

To understand the heart behind these benevolence gift cards, I encourage you to listen to my podcast, "New DNA VS. Old DNA: Why The Shift to Action Is The Only Way." This explains the DNA of our organization; we are moving beyond just words and into the kind of action that changes lives.

Looking ahead to 2026 and 2027, our matrix focuses on specific events that put this "New DNA" into action. Our Girls' Session runs July 13–17, featuring a formal Princess Dinner to celebrate every girl, followed by our Boys' Session from July 20–24, where we celebrate every boy with a massive "Birthday Party Day." We are also moving forward with our 13:31 Boy Leadership Training and Moms’ Appreciation Weekend (Dates TBD 2026).

Our mission is clear: we are here to break the ice, plant the seed, and lead these children through salvation, baptism, and long-term mentorship, culminating in the launch of our 2027 Teen Camp Vision: "My World, My Video, My Voice." We have officially voted on several Memorandums for Record (MFR) to secure this future.

I invite you to visit our website to meet the board members who stand with me in this work. We started with zero, but as we commit our works unto the Lord, He is establishing our thoughts.

What is: 13:31 Leadership: Sight, Speech, Strength

The 13:31 Standard - This column focuses on our upcoming Boy Leadership Training. It moves past basic activities to teach the 13:31 Standard: the difference between the "Ten" who feared the giants and the "Two" who took the land.

This is how we came to our theme—13:31 Leadership: Sight, Speech, Strength. We are challenging young men to shift their Sight, Speech, and Strength from their own limitations to God’s promises. It is a training ground for those ready to lead when others say, "We be not able."

"But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we." — Numbers 13:31

The world is full of the "Ten"—people who only see why it can't be done. We are looking for the Two. At our Boy Leadership Training, we are testing three things:

Sight: Do you see the wall, or the way through?

Speech: Do you say "We can't," or "We are well able"?

Strength: Do you rely on your muscles, or God's power?

The giants are real, but the victory is for the leaders. If you’re ready to stop following the crowd and start standing with the Two, we’ll see you at the 13:31 Training.

We have a saying here: we don't say goodbye; we say, "Until The Trumpet Blows." In the meantime, let's push forward until He comes. God bless you.
