| | | Pumpkin Pie Latte (2 servings) The best homemade pumpkin spice latte is made with real pumpkin puree and cozy pumpkin pie spice. You will love this naturally sweetened, pumpkin spice latte recipe for your morning coffee or a delicious afternoon pick-me-up!
Ingredients: - 2 cups of Milk: Use whole milk 2% or nut milk, as long as it’s thick enough to froth easily.
- 3 tablespoons Pumpkin Puree: Canned pumpkin is the base of this recipe. It’s 100% pumpkin and already cooked, so it won’t be overly sweet.
- 2 tablespoons Sugar: White sugar will do, but for a hint of fall caramel flavor, we prefer brown sugar or 2 -3 tablespoons of maple syrup.
- 2 tablespoons of Vanilla Extract: This gives the spice latte its warm background aroma.
- 1 teaspoon Artisano’s Pumpkin Pie Spice
- ½ cup brewed espresso
Directions:
Brew your espresso and pour it into a large mug or glass mason jar. In a small saucepan, whisk together the pumpkin, sugar, and milk. Heat and stir over medium heat until steaming. Remove from the heat, stir in vanilla and pumpkin pie spice.
Use a milk frother to froth your milk for about 30 seconds or until foamy, then pour into the mug on top of the pumpkin espresso mixture. Reserve the extra foam and spoon it on top.
Feel free to top it with whipped cream if you want to get a little fancy. Sprinkle with a little extra pumpkin spice, nutmeg or cinnamon. Enjoy!
