| | | TENDER BELLY BACON HAS FINALLY ARRIVED. Tender Belly, is on a mission to craft the most crazy tasty bacon on planet Earth. It all starts with using heritage breed pigs that are raised crate-free on 100% vegetarian diets. Unlike many other brands, they don’t inject water into the uncured bacon. Ever. They rub their pork bellies with freshly ground spices and let the tasty dry rub soak in for days. We then slow smoke our bacon for hours using real cherry wood. No antibiotics ever. No nitrates or nitrites added. It’s definitely not the easiest way to craft bacon, but to settle for anything less than the best is, well, just crazy.

| | We have FOUR new olive oils that arrived this week, stop in and check them out.- This fruity and aromatic mild Biancolilla is delicate and of extraordinary elegance. This oil’s slightly creamy, sweet texture and bouquet is characterized by a high fruitiness with aromas of artichoke, mint, aromatic herbs, green tea, nettle, and thyme.
- This medium and very herbaceous, early-harvest Frantoio olive oil has dominant flavors of fresh cut grass, mint and cinnamon. This oil is intensely fruity and pungent, and quite bitter as well. It has a strong herbal, chili pepper and black pepper aftertaste.
- This Nocellara is a delicate intensity oil with balanced flavors of tropical and ripe apple flavors, it is contrasted by many different, mild herbal flavors such as mint, green apple, green banana, and green tea. This oil exhibits harmony and balance with a clean and mild peppery finish.
- Wow, this is a fantastic Arbequina with many complex (very ripe fruit and green fruit) flavors. Everything is intense except the bitterness, which is perfect for this variety. It is very flowery and herbal both – in aroma. It also has characteristics of ripe apple, tropical fruits, nuts, cooked butter, sweet caramel, and the flavor reminds me of roasted marshmallows. It has a full, well-rounded mouthfeel with a black pepper aftertaste.
