Company Description:
We are a local vendor specializing in the sale of high-quality Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegars at the Carmel Farmers Market and Broad Ripple. Our products are sourced directly from reputable producers around the world, ensuring exceptional taste and quality. As a part-time Sales Associate, you will become part of a passionate team dedicated to providing customers with a unique and delightful experience.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Sales and Customer Service: Engage with customers, educate them on our products, and provide personalized recommendations based on their preferences. Be knowledgeable about the health benefits and culinary uses of our Olive Oils and Balsamic Vinegars.
2. Product Display and Maintenance: Set up and maintain an attractive booth display that showcases our products in an appealing manner. Ensure that bottles are properly labeled, stocked, and organized throughout the day.
3. Cash Handling: Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using a Point of Sale (POS) system. Maintain a tidy cash register area and reconcile sales at the end of each shift.
4. Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies, monitoring stock levels, and notifying the supervisor when inventory needs replenishing. Keep track of product expiration dates and rotate stock accordingly.
5. Assist with Market Operations: Help with booth setup and teardown, including assembling and disassembling market tents and tables, arranging signage, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:
1. Passion for Food and Customer Service: A genuine interest in culinary arts, a love for Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegars, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
2. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills to engage with customers, answer questions, and provide product knowledge.
3. Sales Experience: Previous experience in sales, retail, or customer service is preferred but not required.
4. Reliability and Punctuality: Demonstrate responsibility by arriving on time for scheduled shifts and adhering to the market's operating hours.
5. Availability: Must be available to work on weekends, as the Carmel Farmers Market takes place on Saturdays.
