There is no better way to warm up these cold days than with a hot bowl of homemade soup.  We will cover the basics of making a flavorful chicken stock, creating the perfect soup for this chilly weather, and demostrating on essential knife skills in the process.

We will demonstarte how to make the following soups from chicken stock and then enjoy the fruits of your labor.

Chicken Chowder
Additionally, we will provide salad to go with your creations.

Basic Knife Skills Introductory with Jambalaya Dinner

Doesn’t matter how high quality your ingredients are, if your knife skills aren’t up to par, cooking is going to feel like a chore. Anybody can pick up a knife and cut vegetables or meat, but knowing how to use a knife properly can have a big impact on your food.

Knowing how to use knives skillfully is the foundation of all cooking, and should not be scary or frustrating.  You will learn how to slice, dice, and chop in the safest and most efficient manner. At the end of our class we will enjoy the fruits of our labor with a small meal from items we prepared in class.


Making your own Spanish Paella

The famous dish of Spain, paella is a feast for all the food lovers with the signature saffron hue to its heavenly scent and incredible flavor. In this hands-on class, our instructor will introduce you to the authentic Spanish ingredients that make paella so uniquely delicious. We'll show you how to prepare the sofrito and stock base and share secrets to achieving the allusive socarrat. (Socarrat is the crusty crispy bottom of the paella that becomes caramelized and toasted on the bottom of the pan when it is cooking.)

This is a great couple class or bring a friend, you will work in pairs.
