Olive Oil 101 Class
Tuesday November 8th @ 7:00 pm

$35 per person
This is one of our most attended classes.

Have a night out with a friend or spouse..This event will take you through the world of Olive Oils and Balsamic Vinegar paired with many small plate items to demonstrate easy ways to incorporate these products

We will finish the night with a few tapas and a fun and unique dessert.

If you are like most people who have spent more than five minutes on the Food Network you are probably aware that Extra Virgin Olive Oil has the ability to impact a person’s diet and boost health. However, there is also a conundrum. Because of the enormous amount of product available at grocery and specialty stores, the average consumer can quickly feel overwhelmed and wonder if they are getting the EVOO that packs the most punch.

Do you know what makes a good olive oil? Can you pick out a good extra virgin olive when shopping? Have you ever tasted real aged balsamics?
Have you ever tasted freshly pressed olive oil? Can you detect rancidity simply by smelling oil? Would you like to better understand what extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) signifies? Come join our exciting class
Make your reservations now! This will sell out fast!

Special: Get 10% off your entire purchase the night of the event only.

Many Americans entertain more during the last 5 weeks of the year than during the rest of it combined. However, with an 11-month interim between dinner party marathons, many of us never focus in a sustained way on which wines are really best for different end-of-year meals. (What is best with: Standing Rib Roast? Rack of Lamb? Crown Roast of Pork? Baked Ham?).

Similarly, many home cooks could use help with choosing aperitif wines for stand-alone sipping, as well as lighter wines for seated first courses. There’s always Champagne, which we’ll sample, but what are the most interesting (or less expensive) alternatives? Finally, what dessert wines are the most versatile and widely enjoyed, and what desserts work best with them? We’ll consider a range of wine types that will prove helpful for years to come.

Along with the wine we will be serving creative tapas through-out the evening that might work for you and your holiday event.
