Have a mom's night out for mother's day.This event will take you through the world of Olive Oils and Balsamic Vinegars paired with many small plate items to demonstrate easy ways to incorporate these products We will finish the night with a fun and unique dessert.

"Three Little Pigs" Cooking Class: Hands-On May 13th

Three Little Pigs" Cooking Class-Hands-On $65 per person

Chef Gordon Gomila will help you understand the differences of three little pigs (Heritage, Iberico and Berkshire) and the different primal pork cuts. Learn new ways to prepare and handle pork properly for delicious results. We will provide informative, hands-on preparation and cooking lessons, followed by a class meal, with instructional recipes to take home and a couple of special industry guests.

We will teach you how to take the first steps in creating a perfect fish dinner starting with identify quality fish. We will also show you how to properly store, freeze and thaw fish, so you can enjoy one of the healthiest and most delicious foods.

Chef Gordon Gomila will take you through de-boning a fish and several ways of preparing a variety of fish and top it off with a great meal.

You will learn the differences between lean and oily fish and how to prepare fish for cooking. You will also learn how to retain moisture when cooking fish and how to test fish for doneness. By understanding just a few key fundamentals, you can ensure moist and juicy fish every time. We will finish the evening with a great meal.

We will also have a local fishmonger stop in and share some insights into locating fish locally.
Hands-On Knife Skills  Introductory Class
Hands-On Knife Skills Introductory Class with Chef Gordon Gomila -$55 per person
Doesn’t matter how high quality your ingredients are, if your knife skills aren’t up to par cooking is going to feel like a chore. Anybody can pick up a knife and cut vegetables or meat, but knowing how to use a knife properly can have a big impact on you food.
Knowing how to use knives skillfully is the foundation of all cooking, and should not be scary or frustrating. In this hands-on introductory class, you’ll start with a discussion of various styles of knives and when to use them, how to properly hold them for efficiency, speed and safety, proper storage, cleaning, and the differences between sharpening and honing. You will learn how to slice, dice, and chop in the safest and most efficient manner. At the end of our class we will enjoy the fruits of our labor with a small meal from items we prepared in class.

  • Speed up your cooking process with masterful knife skills

Practice classic cuts like slice, dice, mince and julienne and intro to cutting brunoise, baton, batonette and chiffonade
