Subject: "Walking Together" Call for Entries - Visual and performing Artists

Omitted from the last Artists Newsletter: Here is a special call from our new member PeaceArts Revolution.
Calling artists and performers! We invite you to participate in an art opening with live performances hosted by PeaceArts Revolution and Truth Colors Studio on June 1st 5-9 PM at the Armstrong Gallery at 305 Knowlton Studios in Bridgeport.
The theme of the evening is "Walking Together" and we ask that submissions in your chosen art portray messages of positivity.
We especially encourage registration of art celebrating diversity. All present will also have the opportunity to contribute to a live, collaborative work. There is no cost to register, however donations will be graciously accepted to offset the cost of the event. Profits from Walking Together will be donated to the National Endowment for the Arts.

To register to perform (musical, spoken word, dance) or display your art at this event, please complete the registration form on, email Becky Craig-Doyon at, or contact Marianne Schmidt at 203-257-5875.
We look forward to hearing from you!
A PeaceArtist believes in the critical roles played by the Arts, Collaboration, and Story Telling in breaking down barriers, and spreading images and models of positive interaction for the world to see. "Braided Embrace" (pictured above) was painted by Marianne Schmidt and will be on display at this event.
