SOUTHPORT

The Progressive Gallery Tour, a program of the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County, was designed to bring our artist, cultural nonprofit, and creative business members together once a month to discover the richness and variety of our commercial gallery members. Each month we visit a different town - from Greenwich to Shelton. Join us as we continue our second season with a visit to Southport Galleries, Thursday March 23, 6-8pm.

Southport Galleries is excited to highlight the works of two strong, talented Contemporary Artists, Kim Romero and Katy Ferrarone.
Kim Romero’s current show at Southport Galleries is titled Prelude to Spring: Emerging Color. It displays a vibrant approach to "visually tactile and painterly pieces that illicit feelings and emotional triggers." Kim Romero is an impressionistic abstract painter who understands the relationship between color and texture. Southport Galleries’ co-owner, Sissy Biggers comments: "Kim Romero’s work has already filled the walls for many young collectors designing new homes."
Katy Ferrarone, a Singapore based contemporary artist, grew up in Fairfield County. Southport Galleries is fortunate to bring back pieces from her Mind Maps show from June 2016. Katy Ferarrone’s paintings are meditations, each canvas is a "reflection of fleeting thoughts, a map where her mind travels in the moment." Her canvases are abstract landscapes based on her love of color and form.
Southport Galleries presents a selection of enduring American Masters and Contemporary Artists. We are in a century old “worn with time” historic space, nestled in within picturesque village. Kim Romero and Katy Ferrarone will be on display through early April at Southport Galleries, 330 Pequot Avenue, Southport, CT. Please visit our website or call 203-292-6124.
We look forward to seeing you there!
