The Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County Announces Progressive Gallery Tour of Coastal Fairfield County

Tour Launches at C. Parker Gallery of Greenwich, September 30, at 6pm

The Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County is pleased to announce a Progressive Tour of its member commercial galleries across coastal Fairfield County. The tour, which will be programmed through the Spring of 2016 (modeled on the neighbor “progressive dinner” concept), will reach from Greenwich to Bridgeport and include eight of the commercial galleries that are members of the Cultural Alliance.
The tour will consist of a celebration at a gallery, each month, progressively across the County. The tour launches September 30, from 6-8pm, at the C. Parker Gallery, 17 E Putnam Ave, Greenwich (203-253-0934). C. Parker Gallery Owner Tiffany Benincasa will discuss the genesis of the gallery, the range of work it shows and the current show: “Orchids in the Realm of the Sublime,” paintings by Patricia Laspino (oil painting featured is by Ms. Laspino). Said Ms. Benincasa, “We are delighted to support the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County and its mission. It is exciting to be part of an initiative that connects and promotes our art community”.

Subsequent galleries to be celebrated include: The Fernando Luis Alvarez Gallery, 96 Bedford St, Stamford, on Wednesday October 28, 6-8pm, featuring new work by artist Shelby Head; Heather Gaudio Fine Art, celebrating a new gallery space at 66 Elm Street, New Canaan, Thursday November 12; LeClerc Contemporary Gallery, 19 Willard Rd, Norwalk, Wednesday December 9; The Nylen Gallery at Picture This, 772 Post Rd East, Westport, January 13; Southport Galleries, 330 Pequot Ave, Southport, Wednesday February 17; Framemakers Gallery, 3004 Fairfield Ave, Bridgeport, Wednesday March 16; and Browngrotta Arts, 276 Ridgefield Rd, Wilton, Wednesday, May 4.

David Green, Director of Programs at the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County, commented: “Our goal is to encourage the discovery of the quality and range of visual arts to be found at these phenomenal commercial galleries across the county that we are fortunate to have as members of the Cultural Alliance."
