2016-2017 SERIES

Connecting with Local Business Expertise
Wed. Dec. 14

(corrected URL)
For the second in our FY17 EDN series we explore the resources made available to us through local business organizations and their Leadership Groups.

The Bridgeport Regional Business Council, The Business Council of Fairfield County and the Norwalk Chamber of Commerce all contain rich resources for cultural nonprofits through their relations and programs with local business professionals. One of the most successful and key programs of each of these business organizations is the Leadership Group. These are educational programs that come in different sizes and shapes and offer different benefits, which can include:

a) a core group of dedicated business professionals, educated about community issues and needs, that form an ideal pool for board prospects
b) projects undertaken by business professionals as part of their coursework sometimes required by the Leadership Group training.

This EDN meeting will present the resources made available to community groups and, in two instances, cases of projects undertaken with local cultural organizations.

Come find out what resources and business expertise can be available to your organization.
