I omitted Paul Berger and Donna Osterby-Brien from The Power of Color opening tomorrow, Sat. Jan. 14
Ten of our members have work being shown among the 80 pieces in the Bruce S. Kershner Gallery's exhibition, The Power of Color: PAUL BERGERMIGGS BURROUGHS, HEIDI LEWIS COLEMAN, NAOMI CRUZ, ADAIR HEITMANN, MICHELE HUBLER, KATYA LEBRIJA, DONNA OSTERBY-BRIENBARBARA RINGER and RUTH KALLA UNGERER. The show runs from January 7 to February 19 and an opening reception takes place at the Fairfield Library on Sat. Jan. 14, 4:30-6:30pm. Ribbon awards will be presented for First, Second, Third Place and Honorable Mention. The artists will talk about their work throughout the reception.
PAUL R. BERGER's Solitary Tree photograph will be included in the upcoming Power of Color exhibit at the Kershner Gallery in Fairfield. Paul took the shot in Brookfield with his medium format camera using Fuji Provia film, which helped accentuate the blue tones of early evening. The 22 x 28" framed image is for sale.
The show runs from Jan. 9 thru Feb. 19, 2017. The Kershner Gallery, located inside the Fairfield Public Library at 1080 Post Rd, will host an opening reception on Saturday Jan. 14 from 4:30 - 6:30 pm.

DONNA OSTERBY-BRIEN is included in the Power of Color Community Show at Fairfield Public Library's Bruce S. Kershner Gallery. Her entry is Adventure Unknown is Fluid (2016, acrylic on a 16” x 16” cradled panel, at right). Trained as a watercolorist, Donna is experimenting with various fluid acrylics in watercolor techniques on canvas and panel. The show is open from Jan. 7th to Sunday Feb.19th.
Cynthia Whalen's work is appearing at the Westport Artists' Collective's Pop-Up Show at the Westport Arts Center, NOT in The Power of Color at the Kershner Gallery.
CYNTHIA WHALEN is working on a new linear series of works on paper - and you can see her On The Water, (2016, akua ink on somerset, 22" x 36") at special Winter Pop-Up Show at the Westport Arts Center opening this Thurs. Jan. 12, 6-8pm.
