INDIVIDUALS
JOY BUSH has four of her photographs from the series Wall Maps accepted in the juried 2016 Fall Art Show: Fine Art Photography at the Farmington Libraries (6 Monteith Drive, Farmington, CT). The show runs through December 16 in the Main Library Community Room. Opening Reception is Tuesday, October 25, 6:30 to 8:00 pm. At right Wall Maps: Wall No 15, (2015, 16x20" framed, archival pigment print, 2015)
DIANE POLLACK's Red (2015, mixed media collage, 19"x26", detail at right), can be seen in The Westport Artist Collective Explores the Revolutionary Sixties at the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum  thru December. Diane says she thinks the colors and lively attitude reflect the vibes of the “swinging sixties”.
RICK SHAEFER reminds us that his exhibition Refugee Trilogy is closing this week. This monumental three-piece suite addresses the perilous journeys faced by refugees, expressing Shaefer's own response to the ongoing immigration crisis unfolding across the globe. The exhibition is at Fairfield University's Walsh Gallery in the Quick Center and closes on Fri. Oct. 21 (hours Wed-Fri, 12-4pm).
