Free Google Sites and Blogger

I said this in today's morning newsletter that depending on how long you have been marketing online, you may have seen google sites and blogger come and go. These are both free platforms made available by Google and to my knowledge there are no limit to the number you or your customer can create.

So, why did marketers stop talking about them?

First, WordPress became easier to use and most marketers look at it as the standard for site building. But I can tell you from experience that keeping up with all of the updates to the platform as well as plugins and themes can some times be challenging. If you are coaching somebody new, you are probably expecting too much from them.

Many of your customers and students hit the wall here.

Second, Google has systematically made it hard and not worth it to use for spamming. So, it lost favor with the Get Rich Quick Crowd.

But if your business requires you to build sites and teach your customers to build sites, give Google Sites and Blogger another look. It may be the easiest way to teach the lowest technical common demoninator of your audience.
