What is this (Gemini) Curriculum is About?

I spelled this out in the regular newsletter. I will repeat in large measure what I wrote there.

Gemini has two kinds of automated applications. You're probably familiar with the first which are Gems. Gems are much like GPTs and automate chat processes in Gemini.

When you create an app there, you are basically creating an open chat process.

The other kind of app is called Super Gems, which relies on a system called Opal. Opal allows you to build agentic automations without coding.

This is something that you (and your customer) will only need to learn once and then once you start creating, you will be teaching things I could never even conceive of. These are thinking apps. So instead of focusing on getting a secret prompt or getting the prompt exactly right, you focus on the problem you are trying to solve and what you need the agent to do.

Then you get Opal to do it for you.

If you go through the Gemin interface, it is not easy to learn. But I will show you how to start from scratch with Opal so that when you teach it you will be ready for anything. And I can say just from experience it is the most fun thing that they've created apart from NotebookLM.
