The Best Things in Life Are Definitely Free

I remember a paper I wrote as a college freshman, in which the title read: “The Best Things in Life are Definitely Not Free,” like clothes, food, entertainment and vacations. I was more focused on materialistic things. I discussed my topic from a natural point of view, instead of a spiritual point of view. I got a B+ on that essay. Today, years later, I understand why I received a B+ on that essay. Today, through years of growing and God still working on me, I have come to realize that the best things in life are free. Even if a mother is struggling to provide for her family, she still can have joy in such a circumstance. She is not going to be happy that she is poor but she can be happy knowing that she has a God who will provide for her and her children.

Scripture says in Matthew chapter 6 verses 31-33 (KJV), “Take no thought, saying, what we shall eat? Or, what shall we drink? Or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? For after all these things do the Gentiles seek for your heavenly father knoweth that ye have need of all these things? “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness: and all these things shall be added unto you.

Money is an okay thing to have, but the manifestations of the fruits of the spirit are greater to have. Instead of titles, and importance, we should all strive daily to seek him first. We should all desire to be nobler.
 
Acts 17:11 (KJV), "These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things be so.”

The best things in life are spiritual. Walking in the fruits of the Spirit love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance against such is no law. (Reference Galatians 5:22-23). We should all want to dwell in a free atmosphere, of the Love of Christ Jesus. “If the son therefore shall make free, ye shall be free indeed,” (John 8:36 KJV).
