“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men; the man Christ Jesus.” (I Timothy 2:5 KJV)Jehovah God has proven time and time again throughout the Bible that he is the one and only true sovereign God of all the earth. There were signs and wonders that God performed through his vessels Moses and Aaron, that the magicians in the land of Egypt could not perform. This is proof of Jehovah God's sovereign power. “And the magicians did so with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not; so there were lice upon man, and upon beast. Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This is the finger of God:” (Exodus 8:18-19). The testimonies of the three Hebrew boys and Daniel are further evidence of Jehovah God's sovereign power as the one true God. Shadrach, Meschach, and Abed-nego refused to worship the golden image that King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon had set up. They continued to worship Jehovah God, and as a result they were cast into a “burning fiery furnace,” (cf. Daniel 3: 12, 20-21). God saved the lives of Shadrach, Meschach, and Abed-nego from the “burning fiery furnace,” (cf. Daniel 3:26-27). As a result, King Nebuchadnezzar gave glory to the one true God, Jehovah. “Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation and language, which speak anything amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meschach, and Abed-nego, shall be cut into pieces, and their house shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort,” (cf. Daniel 3:29). Jehovah God is our one true God and Saviour. He and Jesus Christ are one. “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one,” (1 John 5:7). “Jesus said unto them, verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am,” (John 8:58). “And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM:” (Exodus 3:14).
