The Center of His Love – by Stephanie M. White

…staying right at the center of God's love, keeping your arms open and outstretched, ready for the mercy of our Master, Jesus Christ. This is the unending life, the real life! (Jude 1:21 MSG)

As Christians, we are instructed to keep ourselves at the center of God’s love. What does this mean? This means that we need to continually remind ourselves of God’s love for us. How do we do this? We do this by focusing on God’s Word and what He has to say about how much He loves us. Life will give us many opportunities to doubt God’s love for us. In this world we deal with man’s free-will, sin, and hatred. Christ is the answer to these devastating things. The world’s hatred can be conquered if we will simply stay at the center of God’s love for us. We must take the time to remind ourselves of His love daily. We must take the time to find verses that speak of His love for us and we must repetitively study these verses. Write down a few of your favorite verses that declare God’s love for you and read them every day. Memorize these verses, focus on them, and speak them.

Keeping ourselves at the center of God’s love will also keep us in anticipation regarding God’s goodness and the blessings He has in store for us. As we become intimately acquainted with God’s love we will also expect Him to do everything else that He promised us in His Word – and this is the real life! Life lived through Christ is unrivaled!
