Hell Is for Real
Kip Phelps

Most people don’t believe in a literal, burning hell. Evidence indicates, however, that hell is real, its punishments are fierce, and its population is enormous. Hell Is for Real provides evidence of hell, tells what heaven, hell, and God are like, and explains how hell can be avoided.

Christ In You – by Anna Darlene Edmondson

“And the secret [mystery] is simply this: Christ in you! Yes, Christ in you bringing with Him the hope of all the glorious things to come. ” (Colossians 1:27 Phillips)

Even though I gave my heart to Christ as a young child, I didn’t completely understand what it all meant. Growing up, I wasn’t sure where or if I belonged. Later, teenage years brought excruciating pain, especially when Dad (whom I adored) died of a heart attack. A blind-sided avalanche---covered and smothered; I longed to be wanted, loved, and to matter to someone. Of course, I was vividly angry with God.

Like a ship with no water, I had nowhere to sail. That is, until my last ditch effort of seeking my heavenly Father, which brings me to an important topic that the Apostle Paul wants believers to understand. If we are to have any idea of how to live a "good and productive" life as Christ followers, it’s imperative we understand our position. Namely, we are "in Christ’ and He is in us." In brief, if we don’t understand this, we’ll aimlessly totter through life without hope or purpose.

Note that phrase---in Christ. That’s where we belong: in Him. He wants us. We are loved and protected from the powers of darkness because Satan is a defeated foe. When Jesus died on the cross, He rescued us from trying to be something we’re not and to be someone we are. Even though we live in a depraved world, we are planted in the Beloved, never to be separated from Him or snatched from His almighty hand (John 10:28).

Gracious Father, open the eyes of our understanding and help us see who we really are in You.
