No Condemnation – Toni Babcock "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." (Romans 8:1 KJV)
As believers in Jesus, we must be mindful of the sin of self-condemnation or risk throwing ourselves under the bus and dragging Jesus along with us - because oddly for some, the great sin is to magnify failure to the point of diminishing God and His righteousness and forgetting to acknowledge the Lord and His promises. Once that truth is recognized, and we return to God's word believing - faith is restored, and we can step out victorious in Jesus. This doesn't mean we do not acknowledge our sin. It doesn't mean we run from reconciliation or reparation on account of our wrongdoing. It simply means we take God at his Word when it is our duty to do so.
Jesus gave an interesting warning to his disciples. He said, "Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before the swine, lest they trample them under their feet and turn again and rend you," (Matthew 7:6 KJV). If all we can do is agree with the devil about ourselves and choose not to agree with God, we are complicit in the company of evil.
We are entrusted with the gospel. As Christians, we are surrounded by forces that seek to devour, trample and engage us in spiritual attack. Defend your most holy faith and testimony for Jesus. Recognize any tendency to disbelieve His Word. Hold on to God's promise, and find victory in Him.
