Our Enemies – Katy Foster Our Heavenly Father, today we pray for our enemies. We pray that You help us to see them through Your loving eyes; and therefore, help us love them like You do. May they be blessed by You, and may we, with our enemies, stand in awe of You. May we bask in Your mercy and forgiveness, and be guided to forgive and have mercy, thereby reflecting You. Rid our hearts of selfishness, of judgment, and of pride. In humility, may we gratefully do good to our enemies, and be thankful for all opportunities given to reflect You.
Take away all thoughts and concern of how our enemies treat and think of us, and convict us to care more for how our enemies treat and think of You. May we never be a stumbling block to the loving relationship that You yearn to have with our enemies. May Satan, our ultimate enemy, fall weak, and may You be glorified. We pray that You forgive our enemies of all their sin, and all of our sin. We pray that our enemies’ salvation in Jesus Christ is solid. Plant the desire in our hearts to befriend our enemies, and that we become like-minded in our faith and walk with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen
But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you. Matthew 5:44 NKJV
