Forgetting the things behind
Nikola Dimitrov

Darlene Zschech – Darlenezschech.com Former leader of Hillsong worship in Hillsong Church Australia and one of the most famous Christian worship leaders ever said:

"This is not a theoretical book, but a very practical one, showing us the importance of letting go of everything that is trying to prevent us from pressing towards the mark of the high calling of God on our life."

Today's Devotional
Marvelous Adoration
Anna Darlene Edmondson

“I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple” (Isaiah 6:3 NKJV)

All over the nations, people search for something or someone to worship. Many ancient civilizations adopted a world-view that included bowing down to sacred objects. The English word worship comes from the Old English word ‘worthship,’ a word that denotes the worthiness of the one receiving special status. It was in this reverent posture that Isaiah (prophet-poet) experienced God’s presence. Mysterious and foundational at the same time, we find Isaiah in church adoring Holy God. During this devout praying, worship, and humility, he received God’s purpose for his life.

In actuality, God initiated a conversation with the Spirit, Jesus, and other angelic beings. God asked the heavenly host “Whom shall I send and who will go for Us?” Though the question wasn’t directed to Isaiah specifically, he answered the call. It’s almost like something broke loose inside Isaiah, bubbling over and out. Immediately, in a reflexive knee-jerk-like action, he replied, “I’ll go. Send me!” You see, when we’re in God’s presence, reading the Word, praying, or holding Him in high esteem, we’re likely to hear His heart. In other words, He reveals where He’s working---always cultivating, harvesting, and wants to involve us in His agenda.

In like manner, King David chased the Living God’s heart until he found it; and knew unless he stayed in the Lord’s presence; he was doomed. Like our brother David, God involves Himself with the tiniest details of our lives because we’re His inheritance (Psalm 28:9). Influencing those around us, whether we realize it or not. God desires that our lifestyles represent and glorify Him, displaying love to others.
