Will You Take this Jesus? - Jennifer Lynn

"Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready." John 19:7 NAS

We are to be the Bride of Christ.

Our Father paid our “dowry,” if you will. Jesus became it for us, laying down His life for His bride, rising to life to give us eternity with Him, and he stands at the altar of our heart. Will we walk down that aisle and make our lifelong commitment to Him?

He looks lovingly upon us as His bride and says His vows:

I live to intercede for you.
I will comfort you in times of trouble.
I will never leave you nor forsake you.
I’ll wipe every tear from your eye.
I’ll love you with an everlasting love.
I’ll bind up your broken heart.
I’ll be your provider.
I’ll be your help in times of trouble.
I’ll fill your life with joy unspeakable.
I’ll give a great peace you won’t understand.
I’ll fight for you and defend you.
I’ll give you rest.
I’ll fill you with hope and will never disappoint you.
I’ll delight in you always.
I’ll always forgive you.
Not even death will do us part.
I will love you for eternity.

When He puts it that way, “I do” isn’t difficult at all.
It’s worth it. It’ll be the best decision ever made. We will never regret saying, “I do,” to Jesus.

Don’t wait to meet Him at the altar of your heart. We aren’t promised tomorrow. Make it today.
