Given the chaotic and seemingly rising unrest in the world, it's truly a gift to know God. But to "yearn" to know Him, on an intimate level, is an opportunity we shouldn't miss. It's an opportunity that lends its way to inherent rewards… eternal salvation. Our treasure is God, and living forever, in His Kingdom.
Classic signs that we're warned about in the Bible have been materializing for some time now. Flesh versus Spirit is an ongoing issue, and those of faith know how to handle these battles. When we draw close to God, He draws closer to us.
"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." James 4:7-8a.
The world is the enemy's playground. He thrives on chaos and dismantling peace. But we have God with us to guide us through whatever is going on in the world and our lives.
When we are at our weakest is when we are strongest in Christ. "And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." 2 Cor 12:9
Growing stronger as we seek Him and meditate, we're able to overcome the "world."
How do we get to know Him? Through prayer and meditation. Speaking to Him from our heart and putting aside time every day to meet with Him without fail.
"Father God, thank You for Your unwavering love and providence over my life. May I be ever mindful of Your Word, and Your will for my life, in Jesus' name, Amen."
