We are the stars of our own life's drama. Hopefully, we shall also be blessed with comedy and romance. Most certainly we'll all have war stories and mysteries to tell. The story of our lives are directed by an Unseen Hand and whispered into reality by a Gentle Voice. Be attentive. Listen up.
Having The Director for our lives is conditional. Our responsibility is to acknowledge Him. Taking a look at the definition tells us exactly what to do. Acknowledge means to recognize the authority or claims of, to confess, to state that one has received, and to express thanks. So how do we acknowledge God in our lives? Recognize His authority and power, and confess it. Look back on our lives and recall all that we have received from His Unseen Hand, then express our thanks for all His blessings.
Do you want assurance that God is in control of your life, that He is directing your path? Then you must acknowledge Him. And when you do He will step into Director mode.
To direct can be described this way: to manage the affairs, course or action of; guide; conduct; regulate; to tell the way to a place; to give directions; to plan the actions and effects of and to supervise and instruct in the carrying out of such a plan. Do you want the Lord to do all of these things for you? To direct you in your starring role? Then you must acknowledge Him.
Lord almighty and most powerful, worthy of all praise and glory, come be my Director! Amen.
