A Christian by birth, I followed all the practices that Christians do. I prayed in the morning, before meals, before going to bed, went to church on Sundays, attended religious meetings, to name a few, and yes, I did carry some amount of faith, as far as I thought so. Earlier in my walk when I 'read' the Bible, all the verses sounded the same to me; Jesus loves us and came to save us from sins, just in new different expressions. One day things changed, I began to know Christ as I never knew Him before. That day I prayed to God for His guidance to teach me. I did not know the seriousness behind my request or how it would work, but I simply did what my soul was asking me to do; I submitted to the soft inner voice in me. It was only when I found myself 'studying the Bible', whereby every word carried a meaning for me, that I realized what had happened and what a difference it made.
There are many who know 'Jesus,' but only few who know 'Christ'. And this is revealed only when we 'invite' the Holy Spirit to work within us with a willing heart. Ask God to give you your own personal experience of knowing Him closely--a way you have never known Him before. Just pray and be assured in Him.
Thank you Lord for your presence and for hearing and answering our prayers. Amen.
