This Christmas season I feel a peace I have not known before. I have many reasons to not feel this peace, so why do I feel as if everything will fall into place and everything will be fine? The answer is I feel stronger than ever my faith in God, and all that is wrong will be resolved, according to His will.
I also feel very strongly that whatever new calamities come my way will also find an outcome with a silver lining even if things do not necessarily work out the way I think they should. My faith has reached a new level, and my love for God is at a new high.
This past year has been one I would rather not have to experience again. There were times when I found myself asking, “Why, God?” The pain from a tumor growing in my sacrum has been almost unbearable at times, and eight months of chemotherapy and twelve radiation treatments left me weak and weary, but this Christmas season has brought a miracle.
My tumor is shrinking and the pain is gone. My doctor is in the process of getting me approved for a newly approved treatment that targets the tumor itself. I will simply take a pill that has few side effects.
I am looking forward to the coming year. I am hopeful and optimistic, and yes, full of peace.
Dear Lord, thank you for allowing me to feel such strong faith. Thank you for your awesome gift of peace.
