Not Right Now! My Child – Rose Hyman
" 'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.' " (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV)
I thought I had my life pretty well planned until a shift of my plans occurred. This shift turned my world upside down; I was faced with losing my financial income and housing. I paced the floor night and day wondering how I would make it. My life was at “wit's end,” and I must admit my faith was shaken.
At this crossroad in my life, I dropped to my knees and cried out to God, “I surrendered my all to you. Is all my hard work and commitment in vain?” After continuous praying for God’s favor over my life, I soon realized that God was answering my prayers. But, He was preparing me in order that I would be able to successfully walk in my destiny. His plans had to supersede my plans for right now. God’s interruption of my plans allowed for an intervention to occur in my life that instilled the following life tools:
The courage to face my life challenges head on.
The perseverance to keep striving even when things are not going my way.
The motivation to embrace my dreams/goals and seek to achieve them with boldness.
Even though my faith was shaken during God's interruption of my plans, I can testify that God kept and provided for me through it all. Not only did God keep me, He planted people in my life that helped and encouraged me to keep my faith.
